I'm having the most difficulty integrating wordpress into my website. It's probably that I'm just not trying hard enough. I have so much shit to upload and a bunch of vinyl to brag about. I saw La Otracina the other night and although only 3 people showed up, it was fucking awesome. I uploaded one of their albums on here a while ago so go grab it right now if you haven't already.

Trying hard to get things up, internet.

Jeffrey Lewis - 12 Crass Songs

This is so cool. I feel really lame for almost missing out on this album for 2007. I finally got my hands on it last week and it's really really really good. I think even if you aren't really into Crass, you'll still find this enjoyable (hopefully!). Anarcho punk meets indie pop? I guess you could call this that, I don't know.
Click to download.

I tried uploading that Radio India album Sublime Frequencies put out, but the file was too big. Maybe I'll put it on to sharebee later and see if that works. It's SO good. I'm having a blast listening to it all the time in the car and in the shower and everywhere else.

GISM - Detestation

1984
GISM are seriously one of my favorite bands of all time. They had some epic and truly fist pumping 'fuck yeah' songs. Not only were/are they the most feared band in Japan, but the rumors that surround them are pretty insane. Like Sakevi stabbing audience members while footage from the Vietnam war was projected onto them. Or using a flame thrower on audience members. Their music is full of epic solos, grim-growling-vocals, and awesome guitar riffs.

I'm almost done with my website so I'll be transferring this stuff to there soon. I'll link to there from here sometime in the near future. Maybe.

R.K. Suryanarayan - Gayathri Veena

1992
I couldn't find a bigger cover art for this; infact, I couldn't find practically any information about this album. Traditional Indian Classical is great for all sorts of things. HOLLA'. (If you know anything about this please let me know!; I'm interested)
Click to download.

I was thinking about uploading some Pandit Pran Nath to compliment this post but I'm not sure yet. Maybe later.

Noisy, grim-as-fuck black metal!

Municipal Waste - Hazardous Mutation

2005 - Earache
I uploaded this for someone a while back but I'm positing it due to how absolutely essential it is. I've survived many roadtrips and treks across countries thanks to this album. Municipal Waste never fail to deliver; They're the crossover kings! This is a super fun album and it goes good with air guitar solos and boogie boards.

2007 - Sublime Frequencies
I thought I uploaded this a while ago but I guess not. It's better than that Group Inerane album and Wazan Samat is my jam. It's a really interesting and entertaining album. Sublime Freq. has really put out some wonderful stuff this year.

Group Inerane - Guitars From Agadez (Music of Niger)

Sublime Frequencies - 2007
Woah. This is so crazy and just overall bad ass. I can't get over how neat the guitar riffs are and the shrill of female vocals just soaring all over the place. Awesome awesome awesome.

Time out?

I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to upload next. As of right now I'm just making a list of things to upload for people in the future. I have a ton to upload anyway. Which means I'll probably start uploading by next week.

I honestly did not see the punch line coming, resulting in me falling on the floor laughing. Totally rad. The Aquabats have found their calling.

Charles Mingus - The Black Saint And The Sinner Lady

Impulse! - 1963
I can not believe that I had never listened to this album before last week. I've been listening to Mingus since I was a kid and this is one of the few I haven't heard in his discography. It's a perfect jazz album! Just wow.
(The link provided was snagged from somewhere. Sorry if it turns out badly tagged/corrupt. I'll upload another need be).

The Mummies - Never Been Caught

Telstar - 1992
I haven't listened to the Mummies since I was a little kid. I hung out with these older punx who would always listen to The Ballad of Iron Eyes Cody whenever they hopped into the car. So this is really refreshing. Probably one of the best garage punk albums of all time.

Rio de la Muerte - Lovers In Winter and Other Short Stories

2004
I don't know what to say about Rio de la Muerte. He's supposably 97% done with his new album and it's killing all of us waiting in anticipation for it to drop. Just skip to 'The Wind Is Strong, But So Are We!' to see how raw and emotional he can be. It's too perfect. Acoustic storytelling at it's best.

La Otracina - Tonal Ellipse of the One

Jack Rose - Kensington Blues

VHF - 2005
If you're a fan of John Fahey you'll really like this. Finger-licking good finger-picking!

MV & EE - Eye In the Pines

Child of Microtones - 2007
MV & EE do a fantastic job integrating blues and folk into their experimental stuff. This is probably my favorite release of the year from them. Mars Delta is pretty great, but this is a lot heavier and listenable. Click to download.

Gary Higgins - Red Hash

Nufusmoon Records 1973
This was one of the first things I remember being shared on p2p networks when I was a kid. This album is just right for driving with no predetermined destination. I think he recorded this in like less than 40 hours due to having to go to jail for possession of marijuana. lolz

Andrew Jackson Jihad & Ghost Mice Split

Andrew Jackson Jihad - People Who Can Eat People Are the Luckiest People in the World

Asian Man - 2007
The Jihaders are one of the big reasons that make living in Phoenix bearable. They started off with goofy, humorous songs about skewering hipsters, killing ladies, and giving the finger to white people, and now look at 'em! This album is full of terribly powerful folk music;
